“TGIF!” Why is it we always look forward to the end of the work week? Don’t get me wrong I love the celebration of the end of a well accomplished project, including a work week. I love to think about all the adventures, relaxing, and fun I will be having for two days uninhibited by the constraints of work. But I also love the celebration of the beginning of a project, like a work week. The list is made, the goals are set, all the accomplishments will set me on the path to another great week of work.
Or am I looking at the “TGIF” phrase wrong…
“TGIF!” has always meant “Thank Goodness It’s Friday!” for me that meant “Ugh the work week is at a end, thank heavens!” Or do you look at the phrase and think “Woohooo the work week is at an end, lets party!”? I think it is a matter of personal perspective. I believe we all want to celebrate the life we live we all want to be sure the life we live is worth celebrating. I just want to be sure I am celebrating for the reasons that lift me up and help me see my true potential as a productive individual. So in the end it is still “TGIF” just looking at it a different way now! Welcome to the weekend everyone!
